How to make custom animations with Video Igniter

Video Igniter will guide you through these steps to turn your ideas into custom animations:

1). Contact Us To Discuss Your Animations

To get production started, we want to learn what kinds of custom animations you want to create. We’ll learn about the style of animation you want to create, who your target audience is, and what you want to show and communicate to your audience.

Then, we’ll develop a budget and a production plan to make your custom animations. When you’re ready to move forward, you will receive an invoice for 50% of your production budget.

2). Script

Our writers will begin developing your script as soon as you pay the production deposit for your animation.

You will receive a link to review a digital copy of your script. You can share this digital script with your team so everyone can add their comments and revision notes to the script. Then, our writers will revise and polish your script before sending you the second draft. If needed, we’ll continue to work with you to revise your script until it’s perfect.

3). Storyboard

Next, we turn your script into a storyboard so our illustrators and animators understand what to create.

Each page of the storyboard contains a sentence from your script, a rough sketch of the scene and a list of instructions for the animators so they understand what they’re going to create.

You will receive a digital copy of the storyboard to review. Go through each page of the storyboard and add comments on the scenes you want us to revise. We’ll update the storyboard according to your feedback and then send you the 2nd draft of the storyboard to review and approve.

4). VoiceOver

After the storyboard is approved, you will receive a selection of voiceover auditions to listen to. Let us know which one is your favorite and we’ll hire that person to record the narration for your custom animations. You will get a chance to listen to the full narration and request edits (if needed).

5). Soundtrack

You will also receive a selection of soundtracks for your custom animations. Give them a listen and let us know which one(s) you want us to use in your animations. We’ll make sure to acquire the appropriate license(s) so we can legally use the music in your animations.

6). Illustrations

As soon as the storyboard is completed, Video Igniter’s art director will develop custom concept art for your animations. You will receive multiple concepts to choose from. It’s important that you share your honest feedback about what you like and dislike about each visual concept. This way, the art director can work with you to update and polish your favorite concept so that it looks perfect.

After the concept art is approved, the art director will oversee a team of illustrators while they create the art for your custom animations. You will get a chance to review all of the art and request edits before we make your animations.

7). Animation

Now that everything is approved, we can make your custom animations! It takes about one week to animate each minute of video. If your animation is long, we may add additional animators to the project to speed up the creation of your videos.

As soon as the first draft is ready, you will receive a link to download your custom animations. Share them with your team and members of your target audience and collect everyone’s feedback. We’ll integrate your revisions and render out the final draft of your custom animations.
