How Do I Create Animations With Video Igniter?

Ready to create animations with Video Igniter? We’ll guide you through these 7 steps to turn your idea into a custom animated video:

1). Get A Quote

To get things started, Video Igniter will develop a production timeline and budget to create your animations. Send us a message or schedule a call with our production team. We’ll follow up to learn more about what you want to show and what you want to communicate in your animations.

After we agree to the scope of the project, you will receive a budget proposal and timeline from us. If you decide to move forward with production, you will receive an invoice for 50% of your budget and a production agreement to sign.

2). Script

Now that production is underway, the first deliverable for your animations is the video script. Video Igniter’s writers will review information about your target audience, the problem(s) they experience and the key messages you want to communicate in your animations.

After we finish writing the first draft of your script, you will receive a link to review your script. Share it with members of your team to get their feedback. Add your notes directly on the script doc and send it to us once all the feedback is in.

Video Igniter’s writers will revise your script and share the 2nd draft with you to review and approve. If further edits are needed, we’ll continue to work with you to revise and refine your script until it’s perfect.

3). Storyboard

The next step to create your animations is to turn the script into a storyboard. When we create animations, the storyboard functions like blueprint for your videos. Each page of the storyboard contains a sentence from your script, along with a sketch of the scene and a list of animation instructions. This way, the illustration and animation teams know exactly what to create for every part of your video’s script.

You will receive a digital copy of the storyboard to review with your team. Have members of your team add their comments directly on the storyboard – if there’s something you want us to revise, let us know! We’ll update your storyboard and share the 2nd draft with you to review and sign off. If further edits are needed, we’ll keep working with you to polish your storyboard until it’s perfect.

4). VoiceOver

Now that the storyboard is approved, you will receive a selection of voiceover auditions to listen to. Let us know which voiceover artist is your favorite and we’ll hire them to create the full narration for your animations. You will get an opportunity to listen to the full voiceover and request edits, if needed.

5). Soundtrack

You will also receive a selection of soundtrack options to listen to. Let us know which one is your favorite and we’ll acquire the appropriate licenses so we can legally use the music when we create your animations.

6). Illustrations

Time for one of the most fun parts of creating your animations – making the art.

This happens in two phases. First, we create concept art based of your style references, brand guidelines and scenes from your storyboard. Give the concepts a review and share your honest feedback with Video Igniter’s art director. Let them know what you like and dislike about each concept. This way, the art director can revise and polish your favorite concept until it’s perfect.

After the concept art is approved, the next step is to create all of the illustrations for your animations. The art director will oversee a team of illustrators while they create art for all of the scenes in your storyboard.

When all the art is ready, you will receive a copy to review with your team. Add your comments directly on the art and we’ll revise and update the illustrations accordingly. When all the art gets your sign off, we’ll create your animations.

7). Animation

Time for the magic to happen. It takes about 1 week to create 60-seconds worth of animations. If we’re creating a long animation, we may add additional animators to speed up the production process.

When we finish creating the first draft of your animations, you will receive a link to download your video(s). Give them a thorough review with your internal team and members of your target audience. Collect everyone’s feedback and send it our way. We’ll integrate your revisions and render out the final draft of your animations.
