To get the animation creation process started, Video Igniter’s team will work with you to develop a timeline and budget to create your dream animation.

You have the option to write and provide the script for your animation (download our free script writing template). Or, Video Igniter can write your script for you.

After we write your script we will share the first draft with you digitally so you and members of your team can add your comments directly on the script document. After all the feedback is in, our writers will revise your script and share the 2nd draft with you to review and approve. If no edits are needed, we’ll move forward to the next stage of production. Otherwise, we’ll continue to work with you to polish your script until it’s perfect.

3). Storyboard

The next step in the animation creation process is to turn your script into a storyboard. The storyboard acts like the blueprint for your animation. How To Make A Video With A Professional Animator

Video Igniter will guide you through these 7 steps so you can get your idea turned into a professionally animated video.

1). Get A Quote

To get things started, you should connect with one or more animation companies to discuss your budget, timeline and goals for the video you want to create. We recommend taking a look at each company’s animation portfolio and reach out to them for a quote. You also have the option to schedule a call to speak with Video Igniter’s production team.

After you have quotes from each company and have taken time to evaluate which company’s production style and service is best for your needs, let your preferred company know you’re ready to move forward.

If you select Video Igniter, we will send you a production agreement to sign and an invoice for 50% of your production budget.

2). Script

Now that production is underway, we’ll set you up with one of our professional animators and copywriters. They’ll work with you virtually to develop a script that conveys your key messages in a story that resonates with your target audience.

You will receive a digital copy of the first draft of the script to review with your team. Add your feedback to the document and send it to us. Our writers will revise your script and send the 2nd draft to you to review and approve. If additional edits are needed, we’ll continue to work with you to polish the script until you love it.

3). Storyboard

After the script is approved, our professional animator will work with you and our storyboard artist to turn the script into a storyboard. The storyboard functions like a blueprint for the illustrators and animators. It tells them exactly what to create for every part of your video’s script.

This is an important phase of the production process because this is where we figure out most of the production details for your animation. You will receive a digital copy of the storyboard to review with your team. Let us know what kinds of revisions you want to see and our storyboard artist will update your storyboard accordingly. You will receive the 2nd draft of the storyboard to review and sign off with your team.

4). VoiceOver

You will receive a selection of voiceover auditions to listen to. Let us know which one is your favorite and we’ll hire that person to record the full narration for your professional animation. When the recording is ready, you will get an opportunity to listen to the full recording and request edits, if needed.

5). Soundtrack

You will also receive a selection of soundtrack options for your professional animation. Give them a listen and let us know which one is your favorite. We’ll acquire the appropriate license(s) so we can legally use the music in your video.

6). Illustrations

Time for the fun to begin. Your professional animator will work with you to develop concept and the illustrations for your animation.

At first, the professional animator will review your style references and brand guidelines. Then, they’ll develop multiple pieces of concept art for you to review. Share your honest feedback with the professional animator about what you like and dislike about each concept. This way, the animator can revise and polish your favorite concept until it’s perfect.

Once the concept art is locked in, the professional animator will oversee a team of illustrators to create all of the art for your video. When the art is complete, you will get an opportunity to review all of the illustrations and request edits. After all the art gets your seal of approval, it’s time to animate your video.

7). Animation

Now’s the time for our professional animator to go heads down and animate your video. Animation takes about 1 week for each minute of video that’s being created. If you hired our professional animator to make a long video or a highly detailed video, we may add additional animators to the project to speed up the delivery time.

1). Get A Quote

The first thing you need to do when you want to make an explainer animation is to evaluate your production options. This means reaching out and contacting several animation production companies to evaluate which producer is the best fit for your project and goals.

In addition to reviewing each company’s animation portfolio, we recommend you schedule a call with our production team or send us a message to get a quote for your explainer animation.

Once you’ve selected a producer for your project, notify them you’re ready to move forward. You will receive a production agreement to sign and an invoice for the first 50% of your production budget.

2). Script

Now that production is underway, Video Igniter’s copywriters will send you questions or meet with you virtually to learn about your target audience and the key messages you want to include in your explainer animation.

You will receive a link to a digital copy of your script which you can share with your team. Have everyone add their comments directly to the script and let us know when all the feedback is in.
