Our writers will use this information to develop the first draft of a script for your animation. As soon as the first draft is ready, we’ll upload it to Video Igniter’s app for animation. You will receive a notification to let you know the first draft is ready to review.

Click the link in the email notification and give the script a look over. Add your comments via the online animation app. After you’ve finished adding your feedback, click the “submit revisions” button and we’ll start working on updating your script.

You will receive a notification when the updated version of your script is ready to review / sign off. When you’re ready to approve the script, click the ‘approve’ button in the animation app.

4). Storyboard

Next, we turn your script into a storyboard. The storyboard acts like a blueprint for your animation. It tells the illustrators and animators what to create for every part of your video’s script.

When the first draft is ready, you will receive an email notification to review the storyboard in Video Igniter’s animation app.

Click through each slide of the storyboard via the animation app and add comments on slides you want us to revise. Then click the submit revisions button.

Our storyboard artists will revise your storyboard according to your feedback. Then, you will receive a notification when the 2nd draft is ready to review.

If you love the storyboard as-is, click approve. Otherwise, add your revisions and we’ll address your edits accordingly.

5). VoiceOver

You will receive a notification from the animation app when it’s time to review the VoiceOver auditions for your video. Give them a listen and click on the one you like best for your animation’s narration.

On the back end, our team will hire the VO artist to record the narration. We’ll also take care of acquiring the appropriate license(s) so we can legally use their voice in your animation.

Video Igniter’s app for animation will send you an email notification when it’s time for you to review the full narration for your video. If the VoiceOver is perfect as-is, mark it as approved in the app. Otherwise, use the text box to share your feedback. We’ll take care of updating the VoiceOver with the VO artist + you will get an opportunity to listen to the updated recording as soon as it’s ready.

6). Soundtrack

The animation app will notify you when it’s time to review the soundtrack options we selected for your animation. Give them a listen and select the one you like best. We’ll take care of acquiring the appropriate license(s) so we can legally use the music when we make your animation.

7). Concept Art

You will receive a notification from the app when it’s time to review the concept art for your animation. Give them a thoughtful review and add comments next to each visual concept to let our art team know what details you like and what details you want to change.

We’ll use your feedback to revise and update the concept art until you mark the concept(s) as approved.

8). Illustrations

After the concept art is approved, our art team will create all of the illustrations for your animation. The app for animation will notify you when it’s time to review the art.

Click through each page via the app and add your comments on slides that you want us to revise. Then click the “submit revisions” button.

Our illustrators will update all of your illustrations according to your feedback. You will receive an app notification as soon as the updated art is ready to review.

If everything looks great, click the “approve illustrations” button. Otherwise, add your revision notes next to the art you want us to update and we’ll address your feedback accordingly.

9). Animation

Now that everything is approved, it’s time for us to animate your video!

You will receive an app notification to review your animation as soon as the first draft is ready. Give it a through review with your team and members of your target audience. Add everyone’s feedback into the animation app and then click the “submit revisions” button.

We’ll integrate your edits, add sound effects, master the audio levels and render out the final draft of your animation. You will be notified when your animation is available to download from the app.

Note – you can only download a watermarked copy of your animation until you pay the final invoice for your animation.

What other kinds of apps for animation are there?

Video Igniter is the only app for animation that enables you to work with human animators to create custom animated videos. All other kinds of software-based animation apps let you create animations quicker – but each has their own limitations. Let’s take a look at the different types of apps for animation out there so you can make an informed decision about what type of production option is best for you.

DIY Animation Apps

The most common type of app for animation is known as a DIY animation app. These online animated video services provide simple video editing tools and large libraries of pre-designed characters, objects and scenes. Popular examples include Animaker, Wideo and Vyond.

It’s up to you to record a voiceover for the animation and then assemble the various scenes in your video so they line up with the voiceover. After you finish assembling each scene in the online animation editor app, you can drag and drop simple motion controls to get objects & characters to move in each scene.

AI Animation Apps

AI-based apps for animation are still in their early years. While it is possible to create unique and creative animations with AI, there are a handful of limitations:

• Generally speaking, you can only generate animated clips that are a few seconds long.
• Animations are randomly generated; you have limited controls over the specific look, feel and movement in each animated clip
• You need to buy AI credits to randomly generate each scene. In many cases, it can take dozens of attempts to generate something usable for each scene.
• After you generate all of the clips for your animation, you still need to use a separate video editing app to edit the footage together.

Phone-Based Animation Apps

Similar to the soundtrack, voiceovers can cost hundreds of dollars to record and license for commercial & broadcast purposes.

4). Start Production ASAP

1). Contact Us

Send us a message to schedule a call to let us know you’re interested in working with Video Igniter to create a YouTube animation. We will ask you questions like:

2). Script

3). Storyboard

When the first draft is ready, you will receive a link to a digital copy of the storyboard. Have your team at their comments directly to each slide that they want us to revise.

When all the notes are in, let us know and we will start working on the revisions. You will receive an updated copy of the storyboard to review and sign off with your team.

If additional edits are needed, we will continue to work with you to polish and perfect the storyboard before we use it to make the visuals for your YouTube animation.

4). VoiceOver

After the storyboard is locked in, you will receive a handful of voiceover auditions for your animation. Give them a listen and let us know which one is your favorite. 5). Soundtrack

6). Illustrations

Creating the art for your animation, happens in two phases:

First, we’ll create concept art for your YouTube animation. Then the art director will select a handful of scenes from your storyboard and develop multiple visual concepts.

Once you approve the concept art, our team will use it to develop the rest of the custom illustrations for your YouTube animation. When the art is ready, you will receive a link to review all of the illustrations online.

You and your team can add your revision notes directly to each piece of art so we know exactly what you want us to update. Tell us when all the feedback is in and we will revise your illustrations accordingly.

When the updated art document is ready for you to review, you will receive a notification so you can request a few more edits or sign off on the art for production.

7). Animation

Now that everything is approved. It’s time to animate your YouTube video! It takes about one week to animate each minute of video. If your video is multiple minutes long, we may add additional animators to the project to speed up production.
