Once you collect everyone’s feedback, send it to us and we will revise your script in 1-2 business days. If you love the 2nd draft as-is, we’ll proceed to the next stage of production. Otherwise, let us know what revisions you want us to make and we’ll continue working with you until you are completely happy with the script.

Storyboard

Next, we’ll develop the storyboard for your marketing video animation. What is a storyboard? A storyboard is like the blueprint for your video. It tells the illustrators what art to create and it tells the animators how to animate the art. It takes 2-5 days to create a storyboard. Then we’ll send it to you for your feedback. Below is a diagram that shows an example of what a page of a storyboard looks like:

Send us your feedback to let us know how you want us to revise your storyboard. We’ll revise the storyboard in 1-3 business days and send it back to you for approval or another round of feedback and revisions.

VoiceOver

Recording a voiceover

Once the script and storyboard are locked in, we can audition voiceover talent for your video. We’ll select 1-5 people to record auditions for your voiceover. This way, you can hear what kind of energy and presentation they will bring to your script. After you select your preferred voiceover talent, we will have them record the full voiceover and we will acquire the appropriate broadcast rights to use the voiceover in your marketing video. You will get an opportunity to review the full voiceover and request edits before approving it for production.

Soundtrack

Pick out a soundtrack

We’ll also select a handful of soundtracks that we think will enhance the presentation of your marketing video. Give them a listen and let us know which one you prefer. Then we’ll acquire the appropriate broadcast license to use the soundtrack in your animated marketing video. Not sure which one works best? Illustrations

After your storyboard is approved, our art director will begin developing custom concept art for your video. They will review your branding and any style references you provided. Then, they will select a key scene from your storyboard and design that scene using one or more unique visual styles. Give them a review and let us know your honest feedback about the concept(s).

If you love one of the concepts as is, we’ll use it to develop the rest of the art in that style.

Do you like details from multiple pieces of concept art? Let us know what they are and we’ll use that information to develop a new piece of concept art for you to review. We will continue to work with you to refine the new concept art until you are completely happy with it.

Not a fan of any of the concepts? That’s ok! Share your honest feedback and we’ll use it to develop fresh concept art for you to review. We will continue to work with you until you end up with a visual concept that you are thrilled with.

Creating illustrations for a marketing animation video.

After the concept art is approved, our illustrators will create all of the art for your animated video and give you an opportunity to review and request edits before approving the art for animation.

Animation

Now that the illustrations are approved and the voiceover is good to go, it’s time to animate! Animation takes about 1 week for each minute of video we are animating. Larger projects  (over 2 minutes) will add additional animators to the project to speed up animation. When the first draft is ready, we recommend reviewing it with your internal team and members of your target audience to ensure everything looks great and makes sense. Collect everyone’s feedback and send it to us to address the final edits and deliver the final draft to you.

Marketing video animations take about 3-8 weeks to create a 2D animated video.
